By day I work as a software engineer. On the side, I build websites for small businesses. That split matters, because it means Kelvi doesn't need to sign twenty clients a month to survive. I take on the businesses I can do right by, and I build every site myself.
The idea started from irritation, honestly. I kept coming across brilliant local businesses, restaurants doing serious food, tradespeople who actually turn up, solicitors who explain things properly, all being let down by their website. Something abandoned from 2014. A Wix trial nobody finished setting up. Or nothing at all, just a Facebook page and a phone number passed around by word of mouth.
None of that is a design problem, really. It's a process problem. Most small businesses get quoted a fortune, wait months, then get handed a WordPress site full of plugins that break the first time anyone touches them. So I built something different: a small set of well-designed templates, a fast build process, and a fixed, fair price. Ten working days from the day I have your materials to a live site.
And when it's live, I stay involved. If something breaks at 9pm on a Sunday, you're not opening a support ticket with a stranger in another time zone. You're ringing me, the person who wrote the code.
How I work
A few rules I keep to.
Fixed prices, quoted upfront
You'll know the number before any work starts. It doesn't move once we've agreed scope.
No surprise invoices
Extra work is billed at a flat hourly rate, and I tell you what something will cost before I do it, not after.
Plain answers
If a feature is a bad idea for your business, or a cheaper option exists, I'll say so. My job is your website working, not padding the invoice.
If it's not what I do, I'll say so
Big e-commerce builds, complex booking systems, work well outside my lane, I'll tell you straight and point you toward someone who can help.

There's nothing installed that can go out of date, get hacked, or stop working after an automatic update you never asked for.

Your site is served from data centres close to whoever is visiting it, wherever in the world that happens to be. That means it loads fast, everywhere.
